Rubashnee brings 25 years of experience in the health sector, most of it working with young people, offering both physical health and wellbeing checks. She takes the time to get to know each person she meets, creating a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and valued. She often shares a bit about herself so young people can decide if they feel comfortable with her, making trust and connection the foundation of every session.
Driven by curiosity and a love for supporting young people, Rubashnee is inspired by their energy, inquisitiveness, and the way they navigate the world. Growing up on the east coast of South Africa in a close-knit, inclusive community, she learned the importance of sharing and paying it forward - whether it's time, a kind gesture, food, or simply listening. These values shape how she works today, nurturing and guiding youth with care and empathy.
Outside of her clinical role, Rubashnee dreams of being an artist. She loves drawing and painting, imagining creative workshops where young people can express themselves in a safe and supportive environment. While English is her primary language, she has a love for learning about people, their stories, and their unique ways of connecting - even if languages aren't her strongest suit (she admits she never had the gift for them, but she tries!).
